Self-Esteem
Many people struggle with feelings of self worth. This may be due to early life experiences, perceived failures or unhealthy relationships. Learning to identify your own strengths and be compassionate with oneself when things don’t go well can help to create a more positive self image.

Couples Therapy

Creating a safe, balanced alliance for both partners is an important part of healing relationships. We will work to identify unhealthy patterns in your relationship and develop new tools to more effectively communicate with one another. Each person will gain a better understanding of their own triggers and their partner’s and learn how to be attuned to one another.

Grief Management

We often think of grief as only being associated with death. Grief can also come from other losses, a break up, job change, children leaving home. There are many tools available to help recognize and navigate the different stages of the grief process.

Communication Skills

Although we all communicate daily, we don’t all do it as effectively as we might like. There are specific strategies that can help us to speak more effectively and also to actively listen, both critical components of the communication process.

Trauma and PTSD

Many people have experienced trauma in their lives. Healing from trauma is best accomplished by both the practice of training one’s physiological response to triggers and by sharing one’s story and gaining understanding and perspective about that experience in a supportive environment.

Mood Disorders

Anxiety and Depression are common mood disorders that are treatable. There are a variety of strategies available to work on both the physiological and cognitive self to improve mood. Nothing is “one size fits all”. We will work together to develop a plan to address your specific needs and find the tools that will work for you.
